Mayoral candidate promises to deliver

A paper run became part of Dunedin City Council candidate Benedict Ong’s mayoral run during campaigning yesterday. 

He placed an advertisement in yesterday’s Otago Daily Times before buying 1000 copies of the paper to give away, including delivering by skateboard "wherever I have to go".

Mr Ong said his efforts showed he was "a very diligent, resolved and hardworking paperboy".

"I will serve our community and I will deliver. I am proud to support our country’s oldest broadsheet and ensure more in our community receive it for their needs."
