Police would like to thank members of the public who assisted police today
Police earlier had concerns for the safety of Dylan Sayer (12) after he went missing from his South Dunedin home last night.
Senior Sergeant Darryl Lennane, of Dunedin, said when Dylan left Kirkcaldy St home yesterday morning and was wearing a blue striped jumper and black trackpants.
Dylan had not returned home after leaving in bare feet and with nothing to eat.
