Museum alters lobby

The Otago Museum's lobby has been redesigned.

The information desk has been shifted to make it a ''centralised focal point'' for visitors on entry.

The shop desk was being moved to allow more space for display, a recent museum report noted.

Visitors would have a clear view of the shop when coming into or leaving the museum.

New signs identifying the information desk, shop, cafe and galleries were also being installed.
