Dunedin Hospital management was not issuing any statements yesterday about norovirus or the number of beds it had available.
On Friday, the hospital advised its geriatric health ward, 6B, which closed on Thursday after some patients and staff fell ill, would remain closed over the weekend.
Earlier in the week, the orthopaedic ward, 3C, was closed because of the virus, but it reopened on Thursday.
Unless the situation changes, the hospital is not expected to issue any statements about the situation before tomorrow.
