University of Otago graduate has been appointed New Zealand's new Solicitor-general.
Una Jagose was Crown legal risk deputy solicitor at Crown Law before becoming acting director of the Government Communications Security Bureau (GCSB) in February this year.
She holds an LLB from the University of Otago and an LLM (first-class honours) from Victoria University and was admitted to the Bar in 1990.
She will replace Michael Heron, QC, who will vacate the role on February 15 next year.
