Stunning weather, high attendance levels, and quality events made for a great start to Orientation this year.
The Otago University Students Association-run event, Ori10, started on Sunday night and will continue until Friday.
OUSA president Harriet Geoghegan was "really, really happy" with how it had gone so far, with a highlight being the Toga Party.
"It was a really fun, positive atmosphere," she said.
She praised the events team for putting in the hard work to create a "good vibe".
There had been positive feedback and colleges had made an effort to support OUSA events such as Unismart and the Toga Party, Ms Geoghegan said.
The success of Ori10 came down to the team creating, over the years, a winning formula.
Despite being tired from partying all week, she was looking forward to next week when preliminary lectures began and Orientation continued.
OUSA events manager Vanessa Reddy said ticket sales were better than in previous years, because of a "really good line-up" and "quality events".
People were lining up at 5pm for a 6.30pm hypnotist show on Thursday.
The hypnotist's two shows sold out with 150 people turned away.
Other sell-outs have been the Toga Party and tonight's gig which Midnight Youth headlines.
