The cruise ship Ovation of the Seas which was due to arrive in Port Chalmers this morning has cancelled its visit.
The vessel, with a capacity for 4180 passengers and 1300 crew, was expected to berth at Beach St wharf at 6.30am from Fiordland.
A Dunedin City Council spokeswoman said the visit had been cancelled as the weather forecast for its departure time was unfavourable.
The ship will now head to its next stop in Wellington.
