Parking a problem

Some visitors to the Otago Museum continue to find car parking a problem, a recent survey shows.

The recently-released "general satisfaction" survey of 100 museum visitors, undertaken in September, showed most visitors (89) found parking was not an issue, but 11 said it was difficult to find and expensive.

The main reason given by visitors for visiting the museum was to see the "Hard on the Heels" exhibition, featuring photographs by leading rugby photographer Peter Bush.

Most visitors to exhibitions shown at the museum during the month were from Dunedin (49), with the second largest group (17) from Britain.

Organisers noted the survey had been conducted during the Rugby World Cup and the English rugby team had been based in Dunedin.
