The Dunedin Fringe Festival production Pecha Kucha Night Dunedin City Vol. 28 tonight will feature 12 presenters, who are given 20 seconds to speak on each of 20 images.

The concept was developed in Tokyo and has since spread to more than 800 cities.

Indigenous food researcher Ron Bull, of Dunedin, will speak on images of Dusky Sound.

For an image, he will use 20 seconds to say: ‘‘One of our major philosophies while being on Indian Island, and with the Kaihaukai project as a whole, is to understand and participate in the entire food production cycle from catching, preparing, cooking eating and importantly telling the stories about food, where it comes from and the role that all plays in forming identity.''

● The special event Pecha Kucha Night Dunedin City Vol. 28 is on tonight at The Hub at Otago Polytechnic at 7pm.
