Police appeal for help over club firewood heist

Mosgiel police are still hoping the public can help them find out who helped themselves to a large stack of firewood.

Thieves stole about 10cu m of firewood worth $700 and a $3000 wood-splitter from the Gladfield Golf Club between June 14 and 18.

Senior Sergeant Al Dickie, of Mosgiel, said no-one had been caught and police were still "hoping for some public assistance'' to catch the thieves.

"We have a number of names we're looking at [and] we have some lines of inquiry we're working on,'' he said.
