Dunedin police are concerned for the welfare of a 20-year-old woman who went missing from Wakari Hospital on Thursday and has not been seen or heard from since.

She is described as 5ft, thin build with blonde shoulder-length hair, with a very youthful appearance and of eastern European descent.

She may be using the name "Vera K" or "Nikita Smith".

She was last seen wearing black jeans, white T-shirt, and a black coat with a hood.

The public are urged to report any sightings to the Dunedin Central Police on 4714 800.
