Protest against tests on animals

Karitane resident Penny Fisher has her say by signing her name on a Dunedin shop window yesterday in a protest against the use of animals in the testing of cosmetic products.

Staff at the Lush Cosmetics shop, in the Wall Street mall, said about 400 people had this week also signed a petition advocating a ban on such animal testing.

Lush Cosmetics has joined forces with animal advocacy group Safe and the Humane Society International as part of a global campaign to end testing of cosmetic products on animals, a practice banned in the European Union.
