A police spokeswoman said the crash happened in Main South Rd and police were called to the scene at 9.40am.
Two people were treated at the scene by St John, but their injuries were believed to be minor.
There was another two-car crash at the intersection of Royal Tce and Corrie St, in Dunedin, yesterday, reducing traffic to one lane shortly after 3pm.
A police spokesman said there were no injuries.
