If you had something to sell out the back of your boat, the Otago Yacht Club was the place to be on Saturday.

Members hosted a "boat stuff" jumble sail, where all sorts of nautical equipment was sold.

Club member Peter Kennett said about 80% of the items were sold.

"So we had dinghies and inflatables and a whole heap of junk as well as lifejackets and stuff, so it was cool.

"Winter’s always a bit quieter, so it’s good to do something in the winter months."

A couple of members intended to sell their boats at the sale, as well as the equipment.

Mr Kennett said they planned to host another day for the members in the summer.

"There’s usually a lot of stuff to pick up from that."
