The Columba College Young Enterprise group was thrilled on Saturday night when it sold out of its "Dunedin stadium, get over it" socks.

The group began selling the merchandise at 6pm outside Carisbrook and the 200 pairs of the $10 socks were gone before kick-off, marketing director Sophie Hutchison said.

"It was awesome," she said.

The group did not receive any negative feedback on the night and had taken several orders for the next production run.
