A woman was seriously injured when she fell from a balcony in Dunedin last night.
A St John ambulance and firefighters from Lookout Point Station were called to a house in Watts Rd, Northeast Valley about 8pm yesterday.
St John spokesman Ian Henderson said the woman, aged in her 40s, sustained a serious injury in the fall and was taken to Dunedin Hospital.
Willowbank Station officer Brent Key said the woman had fallen off a balcony and firefighters used a stretcher to carry her to the ambulance.
The woman had sustained a shoulder injury, he said.
