A schoolboy is dead after a crash between a van and a bike in Napier this morning.
The collision happened at 8am on Guppy Rd, in suburban Taradale, and emergency services were still at the scene, said Sergeant Eion Evans of Napier police.
An ambulance spokeswoman said the victim was an 11-year-old boy.
Police said diversions were in place and they were speaking to witnesses.
