Jean Hubbard
Jean Hubbard, wife of late Timaru financier and philanthropist Allan Hubbard, has died, it was reported last night.
Margaret Jane Hubbard (known as Jean) was in her late 80s.
Mr Hubbard was behind South Canterbury Finance which collapsed in 2010, prompting a $1.6 billion Government payout to investors.
Mr Hubbard died in 2011 in a road crash just north of Oamaru.
Stuff last night reported a family member confirmed Mrs Hubbard’s death.
No further details were available and the family had requested privacy.
