They worked together filming a segment on wolves at Combe Martin Wildlife and Dinosaur Park.
Busch told the North Devon Gazette: "We're filming together for my new series and are trying to portray like-minded people working together for the benefit of both mankind and the animal world.
"Shaun and I will be working together in the future, both here and in other parts of the world.
"The wolves and Shaun have pretty much accepted me, no problem at all and the park in Combe Martin is absolutely beautiful. There is a good atmosphere here, which goes a long way and says a lot for the management."
Ellis, known internationally for his work with wolves, said he was travelling to Africa for filming Busch is doing there.
"Craig is a larger than life character who is passionate about what he does and is absolutely brilliant. He was chilled when he met the guys -- the wolves -- on Friday," he said. "For me, that's as good a recommendation as you will get."
Dr Isla Fishburn, from Sheffield University, is also working on the project, in which the two men are using the wolves and lions convey a message about protecting the environment.
Busch was axed from Whangarei's Zion Wildlife Gardens two years ago, and the wildlife park is operated by his mother Patricia Busch. He disputed allegations of serious misconduct, including allegations of major breaches of safety protocols, inappropriate behaviour in the workplace and performance issues, failing to keep proper training records and causing loss of revenue by cancelling tours.
