Lotto jackpots to record $55 million

Two Dunedin players won second division prizes as Lotto's massive $45 million jackpot went unclaimed last night.

The jackpot has now rolled over to a record-breaking $55 million prize that must be won on Saturday.

If nobody wins Powerball First Division, the prize pool rolls down to the next highest division with winners.

Lotto NZ Head of Corporate Communications Will Hine said it was the largest prize ever on offer with Powerball.

“The three $50 million Must Be Won draws we’ve previously held were all won by multiple winners, so there’s a chance that might happen this time too.

Among the 20 people who won $32,541 each in Lotto second division last night were two MyLotto players from Dunedin.
