Police are warning that a man who fled a community probation residence in Hamilton last week should not be approached.
Rikki Aaron Charles Wilson had been recalled to serve the remainder of a prison sentence and absconded on Friday from the community-based facility.
A Waikato police spokesman said Wilson, who had a history of violence, should not be approached.
Although originally from the Palmerston North area, police said they were keeping an open mind as to where he may have fled.
