Police are appealing for witnesses after a man allegedly assaulted his former partner on a busy Christchurch street.
The incident happened near the Briscoes store on Langdons Rd in suburban Papanui about midday Friday, Detective Richard Quested said.
He urged anyone who saw what happened to contact police.
