Students, parents and teachers from Christchurch schools will take to the streets tomorrow to protest against plans to merge or close schools across the region.
The protest has been organised through social networking sites.
Last week the ministry announced 214 schools in the region would be moved into 41 learning community "clusters", with 13 schools marked for closure, 18 likely to merge and seven to relocate.
