A schoolgirl driver was taken to hospital after her car and a bus collided in Wanganui this afternoon.
The crash happened at the intersection of Young St and Milton St in Wanganui East about 3,15pm.
The driver of the bus reportedly attempted to take evasive action but hit the car near the drivers door and pushed the car about 15m on to the footpath.
The girl sustained suspected back injuries and was taken to Wanganui Hospital.
No-one on the bus was injured.
