A woman is dead after her car and a truck collided near Dargaville, 58km south west of Whangarei, today.
The accident happened on State Highway 12, about 3km south of the Dargaville bridge, shortly after midday, Senior Sergeant Lance Gardiner of northern police communications said.
The woman driver of the car died at the scene.
All emergency services were currently at the scene and diversions had been put in place on State Highway 12, Mr Gardiner said.
