A nationwide protest has been planned for this weekend in response to the Government's recent legislation to sell the country's state-owned energy companies.
The group Aotearoa Is Not For Sale has organised the protest, which well be coordinated across 11 major towns and cities on Saturday.
The protest has been endorsed by numerous groups including the Labour, Green and Mana Parties and the Council of Trade Unions.
In Auckland it will start at 2pm at Britomart and march up Queen St.
It will also be held in Hamilton, Tauranga, Whanganui, Palmerston North, New Plymouth, Napier, Christchurch, Nelson, Dunedin and Wellington.
