A Cromwell man has been arrested after allegedly head-butting his 11-year-old son.
The 45-year-old man, who was intoxicated, assaulted his son by "grabbing him around the throat, and by head-butting him" at the weekend, Detective Gary Hyndman said.
The man would appear in the Alexandra District Court this month on a charge of assault with intent to injure, Det Hyndman said.
