Events for the beloved annual event got under way in the afternoon as 18 teams hit the turf, water and hilly terrain for the Round the Clock Race.
Patrons ate and danced the night away as the Mardi Gras event continued festivities into the night, followed by a dazzling fireworks display.
Blossom Festival events continue today and tomorrow, including the grand procession parade, princesses competition and Saturday in the Park entertainment.
