Manhunt after road workers assaulted in Cromwell

Cromwell police are on the hunt for multiple assailants after road workers were assaulted this morning.

A police media spokeswoman said they were called to the scene on Barry Ave at 11.45am.

It was unclear how many people were involved in the incident, she said.

Police have spoken to witnesses and were surveiling the area to locate the offenders.

Enquiries are ongoing.
