An Oamaru woman was trapped in a Daihatsu Sirion which overturned on Wansbeck St in Oamaru yesterday, after just clipping the tow bar on a Holden Commodore.

The crash happened about 2.55pm as the Commodore was backing out of a driveway on Wansbeck St, just east of Greta St.

The Sirion, travelling east, clipped the tow bar, breaking it, before flipping upside-down, leaving the driver trapped inside.

Oamaru police said the woman, who was not seriously injured, was taken to Oamaru Hospital for treatment.
