The house will be auctioned on Waitangi Day weekend and the proceeds used to start a trust fund to finance expenditure the school incurs which is outside of Ministry of Education funding allowances.
A roof shout for the many supporters, tradesmen and local residents who have contributed their time and skills to help build the house was held at the Lake Hawea Inn yesterday evening.
