Chamber voting to fill positions

Wanaka Chamber of Commerce members will have a choice of four nominees when they vote to fill three vacant executive committee positions at the organisation's annual meeting today.

The board positions have been vacated by outgoing representatives from Wanaka's retail, events, home business and hospitality sectors.

The committee hopefuls are Wanaka Caltex service station owner Matt Davison, Flooring Xtra Wanaka franchise owner Cyril Coombe, and event management company owners Katy Macpherson and Victoria Murray-Orr.

Ms Macpherson runs her own events company, Kinetica, while Ms Murray-Orr is behind the award-winning PR company EveNZ.

Outgoing chamber of commerce secretary Barb MacAndrew said three appointments would be made, regardless of there not being a nominee from Wanaka's hospitality sector.
