Kiwi indie-folk artist Flip Grater joins French singer-songwriter Marianne Dissard and globe-trotting folk bluesman Delaney Davidson for the European influenced showcase Le Tour de Trois, at Dux de Lux, next Wednesday.
Beautiful music influenced by Europe and alternative country Americana can be expected when Le Tour de Trois plays free next Wednesday, says one of the performers.

The continental-style New Zealand tour will debut French singer-songwriter Marianne Dissard alongside New Zealand songwritersFlip Grater and Delaney Davidson.

The two Kiwi songwriters have spent time touring Europe and will showcase songs written in their favourite European cities.

While touring the United States in August, Davidson and Dissard met and talked about touring New Zealand.

The pair then contacted Grater and asked if she would like to join them.

Grater, an Auckland-based indie-folk artist and writer, said the three would play one set each, then a set together, along with a few covers and renditions of each other's songs.

"I think it's very rare for French singing artists to tour New Zealand so, hopefully, that's a novelty for Kiwi audiences.

"I think it's quite a unique sound, expressing Euro-country, but with a New Zealand voice."

• Le Tour de Trois, Dux de Lux, Wednesday, January 27, 8pm. Free entry.
