The dub, funk, afrobeat and soul collective from Wellington has had the hits Sometimes Enough, Cool Me Down, One by One and The Answer.
The eight-piece band recorded and produced their eighth album Dust And Dirt themselves, and will release it on April 9. Their last album was Solid Ground in 2008.
Sales for The Black Seeds have gone multi-platinum.
They begin their national tour at Sammy's in Dunedin on May 24, then perform at the Lake Wanaka Centre on May 25.
Tickets cost $36 plus booking fee from Eventfinder online and Base Wanaka and NZ Shred, Queenstown.
The Black Seeds will tour North America and Europe from early April, then play nine dates in New Zealand and take the Dust and Dirt tour to Australia in June.
