British electronic DJs the Freestylers bring the breakbeats back to Queenstown and Wanaka in late March, their only dates in New Zealand.

DJs, producers and remixers Aston Harvey and Matt Cantor channelled their mutual love of hip-hop and electro to deliver dance floor hit Drop the Boom on their own Scratch City Records in 1996.

Multiple collaborations, world tours, four albums, six remix albums and 20 singles all followed.

These were capped most recently in Wakatipu when they headlined the inaugural EarthTonz New Year's Eve open-air music festival in Gibbston.

The Freestylers ignite Mint Bar, Wanaka on Wednesday, March 28, then Subculture, Queenstown on Thursday, March 29.

Limited presale tickets for either gig cost $25 plus booking fee from Dash Tickets online.

After presales have sold out, general admission tickets cost $35 plus booking fee from Dash Tickets, Quest in Queenstown and Wanaka, Chop Shop Wanaka and both venues.
