Fourteen Kawarau Village Apartments will be released for sale on July 14 by Ray White Queenstown, after the company secured exclusive rights to list the properties.
The apartments are next to the five-star Hilton Queenstown Hotel and the Kawarau Hotel, managed by Hilton.
Ray White Queenstown licensee salesman Cameron Reed said it was "hugely exciting".
"There's been a change of ownership structure ... [the apartments] are now owned by an entity based out of Auckland [and] they've become available for sale.
"Previously, they were tied up in the receivership with the Bank of Scotland ... [they're] now owned by a well-funded outfit and they're slowly bringing them to the market.
"They are truly turn-key properties, furnished right down to glassware, cutlery and bedding, with a fit-out by Stewart Harris, renowned as one of the foremost interior designers in New Zealand and in the Asia-Pacific region," Mr Reed said.
The apartments ranged in size from two-bedroom (99sq m - to six-bedroom (222sq m) and were priced between $535,000 and $955,000.
Some of the larger apartments included a ski-drying room, a small office, a media room, or an outdoor deck.
"While some will fit the bill for local or overseas investors or perhaps holiday accommodation ... we envisage that some will be lived in full-time and others will suit retirees," Mr Reed said.
The apartments would be free of any management contracts and there would be a body corporate set up for each building, charging what Mr Reed described as "very realistic" fees.
Display apartments would be available for viewing on July 14.
A further 14 apartments were expected to be released for sale later this year.
