Introducing The Sheralees also stars Ms Blick along with well-known Queenstown actors and musicians Margaret O'Hanlon, Rachael Simons and Kathleen Brentwood.
It follows the story of four intermediate schoolgirls from a mid-sized New Zealand provincial town, whose 15 minutes of fame came when someone flicked a switch 10 minutes early during the live Telethon broadcast in 1977.
Instead of Suzanne Prentice and her country performance, a rag-tag assortment of tap dancing, lip-synching, loveable pre-teens went live to the nation.
After 25 years of playing many roles - child, mother, lover and real fame for one of the girls, the Sheralees are getting back together forone last concert.
Ms Blick said the inspiration for the show came while watching Ms O'Hanlon perform in another show.
"I was thinking that if I ever wrote a show I would have to cast her. Later, I floated my idea about a story I was considering and no-one laughed, so I got going.
"And, of course, I cast Margaret.
"I really wanted to tell a story about friendships and how important they become as women head into their 40s - a time when it seems more things are leaving our lives than coming into them."
Ms Blick described the show as a "play with music" and the audience should expect a comedy about "friends, enemies, pop music and life after 40".
"The music is fabulous and includes a great range of pop songs from the '60s through to today, including hits from Amy Winehouse, the Bay City Rollers, the Pretenders, Gloria Gaynor, Rihanna and more," she said.
The four-night season at Arrowtown's Athenaeum Hall runs from March 23 to 26.
Tickets are available at World Travellers in the Clocktower building, on the corner of Shotover and Camp Sts and at the Lakes District Museum in Arrowtown. Tickets cost $20 for opening night and $30 for subsequent performances.
