Police want to speak to a person who came into contact with two males charged with aggravated robbery following an incident at Henry's Liquor store in the resort last Wednesday.

Last week, the Otago Daily Times reported a man entered the liquor store in Shotover St about 6.45pm and allegedly threatened a store assistant with a knife before leaving with $2000 cash.

He and another man then allegedly stole a vehicle and drove off, leading police on a chase to Dalefield.

One was apprehended after the car crashed through a fence in Mooney Rd, while the other was found hiding in reeds about 90 minutes later.

Two Dunedin men, aged 17 and 24, who have been granted interim name suppression, have been charged in relation to the alleged offending.

In a statement yesterday, Detective Grant Miller, of Queenstown, said police wanted to speak to a woman who came into contact with the alleged offenders about the time of the robbery.

CCTV footage showed the woman talking to one of the suspects about 6.50pm on the corner of Shotover and Stanley Sts, before being joined by the second suspect just after the offence was allegedly committed.

Det Miller said he wanted to hear from the woman in the image or from anyone who could identify her.

Anyone with information could contact him on (03) 441-1600.
