The long-running annual Cardrona Vintage Fair is back for the 10th time, being held from noon on Sunday, at the Cardrona Hotel.
All proceeds will go towards funding the planned Cardrona to Wanaka walking and cycle track.
The valley community turns out in force for the fair each year, including organiser and chief scone-maker Debs Thompson (pictured with horse Hopi), and her neighbours, Ashley (8), Eve (6) and Finn (4) Buckland. A new ''bring/swap'' tent will give fair-goers a chance to exchange recipes, seeds and surplus produce, while vintage-themed stalls, pony rides and live music will keep the crowd entertained.
A highlight of the fair is the locally produced food on offer. This year, the menu includes broom flower and watercress scones and rabbit stew, Cardrona merino lamb, waffles, home-made baking, honey, jams, preserves, chutneys and ice cream, with beer, wine and whisky to wash it all down.
