Southern District Health Board member Richard Thomson has criticised a delay in obtaining the financial rationale of the Wakatipu health services recommendations.
At Thursday's board meeting in Dunedin, Mr Thomson said that given the National Health Board had given the media a copy of the financial analysis, he did not understand how it was that board members did not have one.
Interested parties have sought the financial analysis since the Wakatipu health services expert panel's report was released in late August.
Chairman Joe Butterfield, on receiving advice from acting chief executive Lexie O'Shea, confirmed managers had a copy of the report, which was released to the I under the Official Information Act.
Mr Butterfield joked managers were busy interpreting the document for "less intelligent" people to understand.
An expected verbal update regarding a determination on whether a CT scanner should be installed at Dunstan Hospital in Clyde or Lakes District Hospital in Queenstown did not eventuate at the meeting because the NHB needed more time to consider material provided to it last week by the DHB, Mr Butterfield said.
