Alleged drink-driver nabbed after crash

A man who crashed a car fitted with an alcohol interlock near Queenstown yesterday has been charged with drink-driving.

Senior Sergeant Paula Enoka said the non-injury crash happened on the Crown Range Rd about 4pm yesterday.

The driver was allegedly intoxicated and in breach of his bail conditions.

The vehicle was fitted with an alcohol interlock, and it was unclear how he had got past this.
