An Australian tourist has been charged with threatening to kill and assault after an alcohol-fuelled attack on guests at a Queenstown backpackers hostel late last night.
J William Roncevich (24), of Northern Territory, was remanded on bail to August 23 when he appeared before Judge Mark Callaghan in the Queenstown District Court today.
He is facing eight charges including assault, assault with intent to injure, assaulting a police officer, threatening to kill a police officer and resisting police.
