The Air New Zealand subsidiary increased the number of flights on Wanaka's sole route from Christchurch last September, in response to calls from Wanaka for an increased service.
The town's tourism and business leaders, keen to see the additional flights continue, met Eagle Air representatives on Thursday night.
Wanaka Chamber of Commerce economic forum spokesman Alistair King said no promises had been made "either way" about the future of the extra flights.
Eagle Air chief executive Carrie Hurihanganui presented passenger figures to the 16 representatives from interest groups, Mr King said.
Lake Wanaka Tourism general manager James Helmore said Eagle Air's data had shown inbound flights to Wanaka were not as well frequented as outbound flights.
"The general sentiment from Eagle Air was the service has gone OK, but could do better. There are some tweaks and changes we can make," he said.
Strategies to attract inbound passengers to Wanaka would be implemented, he said.
Retaining flight capacity was a key driver to boosting the prosperity of Wanaka's business and tourism sectors, Mr King said.
The revised flight scheduling - introduced in September - was a "vast improvement" on the previous service and Wanaka businesses had made good use of it, he said.
The increased flight service had provided flow-on benefits for some businesses and tourism support services, such as rental car operators, Mr King said.
It is understood Ms Hurihanganui will review feedback from Wanaka representatives.
While she and Air NZ project director John Hambleton supported Wanaka as a flight destination, a review of the service was being considered, Mr Helmore said.
