Man killed in crash near Queenstown named

Police have released the name of the man who was killed in a crash near Queenstown on Friday.

He was 27-year-old Tajinder Singh, of Jacks Point.

The two-vehicle crash occurred on State Highway 6 at Jacks Point shortly after 6pm.

One person died following the crash and a second person was airlifted to hospital in a critical condition, police said.

Police yesterday called for witnesses to the crash to contact them.

"As part of our enquiries into the circumstances of the crash, we would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the crash, as well as anyone who may have relevant dashcam footage."
