Millbrook Resort’s ex-director of golf says he resigned about two months ago "purely for a change of pace".
Mid-30s Micah Dickinson, who turned pro when he was 18, had worked at the Arrowtown resort for just over five years, initially as head professional.
He says he’s wanting "less time looking at profit and loss sheets and more time helping people get into the game of golf — the reason I became a professional in the first place".
Originally from Muriwai, near Auckland, he’s presently up north reconnecting with friends and family and playing tournaments.
Millbrook director of operations Brian Howie says "we wish him all the best for the future".
A replacement’s yet to be chosen.
"We are probably looking at a different structure where we may well separate our golf operations and membership services into two different reporting lines, two different departments if you like."
