Receivers have recovered $33,000 from the estate of late Queenstown developer Kevin Carlin.

In their latest report, receivers BDO said all remaining assets from Ex CPHML, formerly Carlin Property Hotel Management Ltd, and Ex TCHL, formerly The Carlin Hotel Ltd, had been realised, and their receiverships were expected to end soon.

The receivership of Queenstown Views Villas Ltd had already been completed, with $39,000 paid to secured creditor Pablo Pty Ltd — however, Pablo was still owed $588,000 and there were no funds for unsecured creditors.

To date, distributions totalling $403,500 had been made to Pablo.

Mr Carlin developed the $30 million Carlin luxury hotel in Hallenstein St, Queenstown.

After his death, aged 69, in 2023, several of his companies were placed into receivership owing about $45 million, of which about $40m was owed to Pablo.

Under Pablo’s ownership, The Carlin is being converted into a fractional-ownership "residence club", with residences sold in one-tenth shares and the former restaurant turned into a members’ lounge and bar.
