Vandals and troublemakers in Tapanui's main street are now under the watchful eye of a security camera.
The camera is housed at the PGG Wrightson store and will monitor the main street and also focus on the green area in the middle of town.
The camera will be monitored from the Tapanui police station.
The West Otago Community Board's Tapanui main street enhancement project fund paid for the camera and its installation, which was called for to help combat vandalism and other trouble in the town.
