Det Bartlett said she joined the police 22 years ago but received the 21-year long service award yesterday at a ceremony in Balclutha.
She has been in Balclutha for about 13 years after serving in Invercargill and Lower Hutt.
Const McKinney received an award marking his high level of integrity, empathy and tenacity during a difficult investigation.
He said it was good to be recognised but it was ``no different than what anyone else does''.
He has been in Balclutha about six years has served in Milton and Dunedin.
