The third annual Clutha Country Summer Series of triathlons, duathlons, runs and walks starts tomorrow.
There are four events in the series, the first of which begins at the Kaka Point surf club at 1.30pm.
Tiny Carruthers, of Sport Clutha, said the Kaka Point race was popular because of the area's beautiful scenery.
The sea swim was a special feature.
With courses designed to suit all ages and levels of fitness, Mr Carruthers said the event offered "an entry level option for people looking to get into multisports".

- January 24: Kaka Point, 1.30pm start at surf club.
- January 31: Milton, 1.30pm start at Milton pool.
- February 7: Lawrence, 1.30pm start at Lawrence pool.
- February 28: Tapanui, 1.30 start at Tapanui pool.
