Rehearsals start this week for the South Otago Theatrical Society's version of a popular 1970s television show.
The Dad's Army production will feature all the favourite characters from the British comedy series.
Dunedin-based director Geoff Smith was thrilled with the response at auditions.
"To have so many men turn up to auditions was a very pleasant surprise and to be able to cast the whole show from day one of auditions was tremendous."
Production manager Lorraine Mclean said the show will be staged at a fitting venue - the Balclutha War Memorial Hall - from August 4 to 8.
Rehearsals start this week and the cast will be "straight into manoeuvres".
